Château de Beaucastel 2001 blanc, Famille Perrin

Date Tasted: 9/2020

If nectar, the wine of Gods on Olympus, existed, it would have had the same taste. There are not enough words to describe a wine like this. And it is quite different from what you expect to find in the bottle but in such a delightful way. No honey notes, no marmalade, not even petrol but earthiness, structure, concentration and roundness. Truly unique!

Appearance: The colour is deep golden with amber hues.

Nose: It has a profoundly complex character with a medium intensity that is still developing, with tropical fruits, green sugared fruits, sweet spoon stone fruits, orange blossoms and mushrooms.

Palate: It is multi-layered and expresses deliberate oxidation through almonds and hazelnut. It is dry, with medium acidity, full body and a long aftertaste.

Drink: Just open the bottle and enjoy this unique wine experience!

Food Pairing: Pork knuckle in the oven with baby potatoes, celery and aged mustard sauce.
