Douro 2014, Senhora Do Convento
Date Tasted: 4/2020
I loved this wine from the first moment I tasted it since the texture and the balance are marvellous and the price.
Appearance: Medium ruby colour.
Nose: Medium aromatic intensity full of red and black fruits, graphite, and tobacco are well-developed.
Palate: Fruits turned to jam on the palate combined with mushroom and meat. Medium to high acidity, high soft tannins, excellent texture and balance, full-body, and medium aftertaste.
Drink or Hold: It is enjoyable now but can stay a few years more in the cellar.
Food Pairing: It will pair excellently roast beef.
