Vosne-Romanée 2018, Domaine Méo-Camuzet
Date Tasted: 5/2021
I think Vosne-Romanée is the most famous village in the whole wine world. In the area are 6 of the most incredible Grand Crus and are produced the most iconic and expensive wines on earth! Pinot Noir is the ultimate king, and the wines combine grace and power.
Appearance: The colour is pale purple.
Nose: It is expressive on the nose with subtle fresh aromas of cranberry, raspberry and strawberry. Some tomato leaf notes, mint, tobacco and forest as well.
Palate: It is very soft and elegant on the palate, with high acidity and medium to high silky tannins. The red berries are still showing up with some leather notes. The body is medium to high with an almost long aftertaste.
Drink: It will deliver a lot of pleasure now, but it can stay in the cellar for a couple of years more.
Food Pairing: Try it with smoked duck, pigeon or even lobster.
