Merlot 2017, Lacules Bay Vineyard

Date Tasted: 10/2020

Passion, know-how, detail mindset is not a lot, but it is enough to make great wines, and in the Gruber family, it is enough to give prominence to the Messenian terroir.

Appearance: The colour is deep ruby.

Nose: It has ripe aromas, mostly black fruits with a spicy character, toasted wood, leather, wet leaves and asfaka, a characteristic wild area's plant.

Palate: It is dry, with a combination of ripe fruit and alcohol that leaves a sweetness, high acidity, high velvety tannins, full-body and a long aftertaste.

Drink or Hold: Enjoyable now, but with more than 10 years of ageing potential.

Food Pairing: Wild boar stew.
