Napa Valley is the most famous and prestigious wine region in the New World. Dominus Estate based in Napa Valley and making one of the region's cult Cabernet Sauvignons. The estate is based around the Napanook vineyard, which is notable for being one of the first sites planted to grapes in the Napa Valley back in 1838. The vineyard sits on the edge of the Mayacamas Mountains, rising slightly into the hills. Christian Moueix (Chateau Petrus) went into partnership in 1982 with Robin Lail and Marcia Smith and, in 1995, took over as the sole owner. The Othello is the third label of the winery and an entry-level wine for Dominus Estate standards. 

Appearance: The colour is deep ruby.

 Nose: Pronounced aromatic profile that floods blackberries jam, kirsch, eucalyptus and espresso coffee. 

Palate: It is dense with a diacritic barrel use, and the flavours of ripe strawberry, liquorice, leather and wet leaves are present. The acidity is medium-plus, the tannins are medium to high and juicy, the alcohol is notable, and the aftertaste is medium. 

Drink: Perfect now or in the next 3 years. 

Food Pairing: Try it with beef Wellington.
