Amarone is one of the robust, richer, high-in-alcohol dry wines worldwide. It is produced only in Valpolicella, in the district of Veneto in Northern Italy and holds DOCG status.

The Sant’Urbano vineyard is located on a hill in the municipality of Fumane. It has excellent exposure to the sun at around 300 m altitude with calcareous, clayey soil of volcanic origin, which favours moisture retention, preventing excessive dryness.
