Theodora 2018, Gut Oggau
Date Tasted: 3/2021
It was an interesting wine with a surprisingly low alcohol level and pleasant-soft mouth feeling. But to be fair enough, it is a little bit expensive for what it offers. I can easily recall plenty of Greek wines that provide much more in less than half price.
Appearance: The colour is medium golden.
Nose: The intensity is medium with a unique aromatic profile, mainly with lemon peel, wet gravel, petrol and a layer of yeasty notes.
Palate: The body is low and, combined with the low alcohol, create a softness. It is riper with kiwi and tropical notes, good acidity and medium aftertaste.
Drink: It has a couple of years ahead but better drink it.
Food Pairing: It is so pleasant as an aperitif with just some cheese and salami aside.
