Contino Reserva 2016, Viñedos de Contino

Contino Reserva 2016, Viñedos de Contino

Date Tasted: 9/2021

This single-vineyard Rioja is complex and balanced and delivers a lot of pleasure.

Appearance: The colour is medium purple.

Nose: It has a core of dark fruits like blackcurrant and plum with some herbaceous hints. The spices of vanilla and cinnamon are intense with the support of tobacco and leather.

Palate: It is very round with intense yet delicious velvety tannins. The acidity is medium-plus. The dark fruit and the oak notes are still showing character. The aftertaste is almost long.

Drink or Hold: It is charming now, but it has many years ahead.

Food Pairing: It will be paired well with Iberico steak.
