Muscadet is a dry white wine produced in the Loire Valley of France, primarily in the Pays Nantais region near the Atlantic coast. It is made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety and is characterised by its crisp acidity, light body, and subtle flavours of green apple, citrus, and minerality.

Muscadet wines often carry the designation “Sur Lie,” meaning the wine is aged on its lees (the sediment of dead yeast cells) for added complexity, texture, and a hint of breadiness.

🍷 Appearance: Pale lemon colour bright.

👃 Nose: It is wonderful on the nose, with a core of white blossoms, lemon, apple, and pear surrounded by the gentle minerality of wet stone.

👅 Palate: Light-bodied yet intense flavours of lemon, pear and wet stone. The acidity is high but well-maintained.

💞 Finish: The finish is almost long and delicious.

🍷 Drink: Best enjoyed now.

🍽️ Food Pairing: A perfect pairing for shrimps, scallops and calamari.
