Château Porto Carras 2011, Domaine Porto Carras

Date Tasted: 4/2020

This wine cannot go wrong and would bring joy to everyone on the table.

Appearance: The colour is medium garnet which shows the age.

Nose: It shows an attractive complex bouquet with red and black fruits like redcurrant, bramble, plum, dried fig and sweet spices such as clove, nutmeg and cinnamon, all surrounded by a layer of tobacco, charred wood and mushrooms.

Palate: It is concentrated with the flavours of cedar, dried fruits, leather and spices all over the mouth. It is round with firm tannins, excellent balance and a pleasantly long finish.

Drink: It can age for some years more, but I do not find the reason.

Considering the price and quality, it is one of the best value for money wines in the Greek market.
