A.O.C. Lussac Saint-Émilion is one of the satellite appellations of the prestigious Saint-Émilion region in Bordeaux, France. Located on the right bank of the Dordogne River, this appellation is known for producing elegant red wines that reflect the rich terroir of the area.

The vineyards benefit from a mix of clay, limestone, and gravel soils, ideal for cultivating Merlot, the dominant grape variety, often blended with Cabernet Franc and occasionally Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines of Lussac Saint-Émilion are characterised by their approachable, fruit-forward style, with flavours of ripe red berries, plum, and subtle earthy or spicy notes. They typically exhibit silky tannins and balanced acidity, making them versatile for pairing with various dishes.

Although those from Saint-Émilion often overshadow the wines, Lussac Saint-Émilion offers excellent value for money, delivering Bordeaux charm and complexity at a more accessible price point.
