Cuvée du Château Vacqueyras 2018, Château Des Roques
Date Tasted: 6/2021
If you are searching for high quality, inexpensive Southern Rhône red wines, then the appellation of Vacqueyras is the right place to explore.
Appearance: The colour is medium ruby.
Nose: It has a beautiful aromatic profile and the second day was even more lovely. It has a cherry signature with some dried fruits, many spices and some hints of chocolate and leather.
Palate: It is dry with medium acidity. The texture is well measured with medium to high tannins and full-body sense. It has a marvellous combination of red and black fruits with leather and cardamom flavours in a medium-length finish.
Drink or Hold: It is palatable now but has a five years ageing potential.
Food Pairing: A rare cooked limousine fillet with mushroom sauce will fit perfectly.
