Les Darons 2019, Jeff Carrel

Date Tasted: 4/2021

It is a palatable wine, classic of those South France red blends that offer pleasure at a regular price. Ideal for the daily table, especially if you fancy this wine style.

Appearance: The colour is medium ruby.

Nose: It is ripe and complex enough with jam red berries, tomato leaf, spices, and a layer of leather and meat.

Palate: It is dry with medium acidity and medium tannins. Although the alcohol is high does not stand out, and the aftertaste tends to be short.

Drink: It has a couple of years ahead, but it is already delightful.

Food Pairing: It accompanied perfectly a beef braise.
