Date Tasted: 2/2021

This producer has not missed a chance to surprise me. Every wine I taste is totally different from the previous one. It is remarkable how one variety, one region, and the same producer can offer such a diversity of wines. One will only not notice a slight aromatic difference, as is the case in many such cases, but completely different wines.

Appearance: The colour is deep gold.

Nose: It is ripe with medium intensity and many honey notes, apple, pear drop, and cream.

Palate: It is dry, with the acidity being high, but I should mention here that compared with the other Riffault wines is less and well-defined. It has some yeasty flavours like bread and cream with a solid fresh honeysuckle note to the ripe whole. The aftertaste is medium-length.

Drink: It can age a few years more but actually does not need it.

Food Pairing: Fresh goat cheese and Riffault wines are always a great combination. If you want heavier dishes, prefer pasta Aglio e olio and risotto with saffron.
