Savatiano 2012, Domaine Papagiannakos
Date Tasted: 12/2021
That wine was the least impressive of the three, not because it is a bad wine but because the other two were remarkably good. However, the ageing potential is clear.
Appearance: Pale amber colour.
Nose: It is still fresh with pure pear drop, apricot and nectarine. Also, the floral notes are supported by dill, lemon and lime.
Palate: It is a medium-body wine with medium acidity and good balance. It is ripe with some sweet fruit notes developed well together with honeycomb and hay. The aftertaste is medium.
Drink or Hold: It is distinctive now, but it has a couple of years of ageing.
Food Pairing: Seafood is the perfect pairing.
