Vrucara 2013, Feudo Montoni

Date Tasted: 5/2021

It is a great and delicious wine. The years in the bottle benefit it with complexity, smoothness and balance.

Appearance: The colour is a medium garnet with some ruby hues.

Nose: The aromatic profile is multi-layered. It has many red fruits and red berries with some green undertones like mint and many spices. The tertiary aromas like mushroom, leather, and forest are developing.

Palate: It is dry with high acidity and high velvety tannins. The body is medium, and the flavours are intense with a black cherry signature, some green tea notes, cardamon and wet leaves. The aftertaste is long and complex.

Drink or Hold: It is marvellous now but has potential for even more evolving.

Food Pairing: Try it with a dry age steak and baba ganoush sauce.
