Clos de la Combe 2017, Jean Chartron

Date Tasted: 8/2020

It is a value for money Pinot Noir with a pure and smooth sense, and it could be consumed pretty cold. It is just perfect, even for the daily table. Hard to find such a good Pinot Noir at this price range, especially from Bourgogne.

Appearance: The colour is pale ruby.

Nose: It is clear and fruity, and the barrel has been used carefully, and the notes do not overcover its fruity character.

Palate: Raspberry, strawberry, red cherry, green bell pepper and toasted wood are present, with high acidity, low tannins, almost medium body and medium pleasant aftertaste.

Drink: It will not gain something with ageing so just drink it.

Food Pairing: It is perfect with tuna tartare.
