Franz Anton Spätburgunder 2017, Franz Keller
Date Tasted: 5/2020
It is a good quality German Pinot Noir probably, the hidden treasure of the country since one can find top-quality pinot noir at an affordable price.
It was bought directly from the winery after I tried another pinot noir from them. I should recommend here the excellent service I had since I wrote an email and, in a few days, I had it on my door.
Appearance: Pale ruby colour.
Nose: Medium aromatic intensity with earthy character, tar, mushroom, and oaky notes.
Palate: Red fruits and spices with high acidity, medium well-worked tannins with fine and delicate texture, light body, and short aftertaste.
Drink or Hold: Pleasant now with good prospects for the future.
Food Pairing: A Greek made pork souvlaki is a perfect combination.
