Naoussa 2016, Thymiopoulos

Naoussa 2016, Thymiopoulos

Naoussa 2016, Thymiopoulos

Date Tasted: 5/2020

It certainly needs food.

Appearance: Pale garnet colour.

Nose: Medium aromatic intensity with overcooked red fruits mostly, raspberry, sour cherry and tomato.

Palate: The tomato notes continue with graphite and game with medium acidity and medium body. It is flabby with harsh tannins and a short aftertaste.

It tastes better when combined with food.

Drink: It surely needs ageing, but I do not recommend it.

Food Pairing: It paired well with meatballs in tomato sauce.
