Rapsani 2017, Tsantali
Date Tasted: 1/2021
Usually, this wine has excellent value for money, and the winery is one of the largest producers in Greece. Moreover, Tsantalis is one of the producers who contributed the most to the promotion and preservation of viticulture in the area, at a time when Rapsani was unknown. So, it is worth a place on our table.
Appearance: The colour is medium ruby.
Nose: It is charming, mostly with red fruits and follows a layer of dried fruits and earthy notes such as mushroom and leather.
Palate: It is ripe with notes of black olive, bramble and raisin. The acidity is high with medium tannins, medium body and medium finish.
Drink: It is ready to drink now, but it can develop some extra complexity after 2-3 years in the cellar.
Food Pairing: It is perfect for the daily table. Prefer dishes based on meat like a lamb in the oven or grilled.
