Decennium 07/16, Tatsis Winery

Decennium 07/16, Tatsis Winery

Date Tasted: 2/2022

Tatsis brothers used to surprise us many times, but with Decennium, they pushed the boundaries even further. Ten vintages of Goumenissa (Xinomavro, Negoska) bottled together and created another perspective for the region's potential.

Appearance: Medium garnet colour.

Nose: It is layered with red cherry and plum, sour cherry liqueur, clove and cardamon. The tertiary aromas are pronounced like butterscotch, mushroom and wet leaves.

Palate: It does not fill up the expectations. The tannins are almost high, but the light intensity of flavour made them aggressive. It is a medium-bodied wine with medium acidity and a short aftertaste.

Drink: It is not suitable for further ageing.

Food Pairing: Salami and cold cuts.
