Trilogia 2008, Christos Kokkalis

Trilogia 2008, Christos Kokkalis

Date Tasted: 2/2022

This great Greek wine competes qualitatively with any other regardless of region, country or price.

Appearance: Deep ruby colour.

Nose: It's just great! Super complex and multi-layered with tiny red and black fruits flooding the glass. Airing transformed its profile, helping open and express its grandeur more and more with lots of spices and wet leaves.

Palate: It is multi-dimensional with solid, durable, yet elegant flavour compounds like raspberry, blackcurrant, allspice and espresso. The tannins are exemplary, with a long-lasting juicy aftertaste.

Drink or Hold: It is at its best now and for the next four years.

Food Pairing: Roast beef with red wine sauce.
