Trilogia 2012, Christos Kokkalis

Trilogia 2012, Christos Kokkalis

Date Tasted: 11/2021

Trilogia was the first red Greek wine that managed to spread its reputation abroad and, specifically in the German market, charming many wine critics, sommeliers and consumers with its high quality. In addition, the wine collectors appreciate this label and are particular about the wines where Christos Kokkalis participated before selling the Estate to Domaine Biblia Chora.

Appearance: Deep ruby colour still youthful.

Nose: It is fantastic with its aromatic depth and complexity from the first moment with layers upon layers. The dark fruits are ripe yet still fresh with the support of liquorice, allspice, tobacco, apple and flint.

Palate: It is magical on the mouth. It is an excellent example of why Cabernet sauvignon gives such great wines everywhere around the globe. The tannins are high and velvety, with high acidity and exceptional balance. It is a full-body wine with a medium aftertaste.

Drink or Hold: It needs a couple of years to reach its peak, but it is pretty palatable already.

Food Pairing: A classic prime steak is the ultimate pairing.
