Trilogia 2015, Dio Ipsi Estate
Date Tasted: 11/2020
Is this one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon in Greece? Yes, it is! Delicious and great with a complex character, excellent balance, round mouth-filling and exemplary tannins. Since 1991, the low yields of two different plots with Cabernet Sauvignon, the soil and the focus on quality gave this unique Greek red wine.
Appearance: Deep ruby colour.
Nose: It is fresh yet ripe with many red fruits to overflow and black as well; tomato leaf, liquorice, vanilla, leather, mushroom and forest complete the aromatic puzzle.
Palate: It is dry, with the flavour continuing in the same rhythm as the nose, with high acidity, high juicy and velvety tannins, almost full body and medium forest fruits aftertaste.
Drink or Hold: Drink it now or in the next 15 years.
Food Pairing: T-bone.
