Date Tasted: 11/2020

This unexpected and somehow stranger married gave to all wine lovers a reason for a smile. Two wine regions: Goumenissa north on the mainland and the island of Cephalonia in the Ionian Sea, two friends both close to natural wine philosophy: Tatsis brothers and Sclavos, two wines: Orgion and Goumenissa, and three varieties: Mavrodaphne, Xinomavro, Negkoska, all joined forces to make the married happen and be successful.

Biodynamic cultivation and natural approach applied, although they are not certified.

Appearance: The colour is deep garnet with ruby hues.

Nose: It is complex, fresh yet ripe, expresses redcurrant, blackcurrant, medicinal, nutmeg and forest.

Palate: It is balanced and soft, with flavours of cranberry, raisin, rosemary, leather and tobacco. The acidity is high, the tannins are high yet soft and juicy, the body is medium-plus, and the aftertaste is high and complex.

Drink: It is a limited-production wine at its best.

Food Pairing: Try it with a medium-rare picanha.
